Abstract
Effect of urea (including histochemical methods) introduced per es, on mukopolisaccharides content changes within the rainbow trout epidermis was tested. The neutral mukopolisaccharides were the most numerous. Their content, within the epidermis, for fish fed feed with 2% urea was growing, decreasing when 4% urea was added. Analogical tendency was observed for the acid mucopolisaccharides.
